Everything you came for, within a walk
Santa Monica is bigger than the postcard. The stretch that makes a stay easy is the grid between Ocean Avenue and Lincoln Boulevard, roughly from Wilshire down to Pico — flat, walkable, and close enough to the water that you can be on the sand in the time it takes to find parking somewhere else.

How we’d spend a day here
Coffee, then the beach path
Early mornings are quiet on the path. Walk or cycle south toward Venice before the crowds wake up.
The farmers market
On Wednesdays and Saturdays, Arizona Avenue fills with farm stalls. Plenty of LA’s chefs shop here.
Main Street or the Promenade
Main Street for independent shops and slower cafés; the Promenade for the big names.

The park runs along the bluff above the beach and looks straight out over the Pacific.
Dinner, then the pier lights
Downtown’s restaurants are close enough to walk home from, and the Ferris wheel lights up after dark.

You won’t need the car
On foot
Groceries, coffee, the beach and dinner are all walkable from our Santa Monica buildings. Most days you won’t need anything else.
By bike
The beach path runs 22 miles from Pacific Palisades to Torrance, through Venice and past Marina del Rey. Bikes are easy to rent near the pier.
By train
The Metro E Line starts at 4th Street and Colorado and runs to Culver City and Downtown LA. No traffic, no parking.
Arriving
LAX is roughly half an hour away outside rush hour. Most of our apartments come with parking, so the car can stay put once you land.

Mornings are often grey until midday. The afternoons usually clear, and the beach fills up.

The warmest water of the year, clear skies, and thinner crowds once the school holidays end.

Some rain, plenty of sun, and the easiest time to book. It’s when longer stays make the most sense.

Beautiful location in the heart of Santa Monica. So much to do close by. Trader Joe’s is pretty much attached to the location and the pier is a short walk away. Sam was very responsive, provided a detailed welcome guide, and was super helpful throughout our stay
We had a lovely trip to Santa Monica. Everything was within walking distance. The bed was very comfortable and it was great to have safe parking during our stay.
